We offer training workshops for families, carers and people who work with those living with disability on how to use assistive technology as an effective tool to maximise their participation and independence. The workshops are designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to confidently support the inclusion of kids, teens and people living with disability to do the things they wish to do.
How to use a PODD workshop

This is a basic workshop teaching you how to use a PODD communication book as a tool to communicate with someone who has complex communication needs.
PODD Practise workshop
This workshop provides a fun, friendly environment to practise your PODD skills with support from a speech pathologist. Whether you are a parent or carer of a child living with disability, or a teacher or disability worker, this workshop can assist you to practice and develop your skills learnt in the ‘How to use a PODD’ workshop, in a practical learning environment.
Switch Access Measure certification
This training course is designed for people who work with individuals who need to use switches with their assistive technologies, such as therapists, teachers or researchers in the disability field.
Switch Access Measure is an assessment which professionals working with people living with disability can use to find the right switching technology for each individual’s complex needs and abilities. The Switch Access Measure (SAM) is a dynamic, goal directed, activity based and repeatable assessment method.
After this course, you can become a certified user of SAM by also completing an online assessment and online certification tasks.
