Telehealth wheelchair and seating support

Novitatech is now offering telehealth wheelchair and seating support to clients who are unable to attend assessment appointments, due to implications associated with COVID-19.

The service is offered to all clients as part of the wheelchair and seating assessment process, which assists our clinicians and technicians to gather all the necessary information, both speeding up the process and greatly assisting clients to access the service in the safest way possible.

Novitatech is now one of South Australia’s largest providers of wheelchair and seating services and support for people living with disability, after recently undergoing a significant expansion which has increased overall capacity to support clients requiring the service.

General Manager of Novitatech, Mark Stewart says, “Our core focus during the COVID-19 crisis is to continue supporting people living with disability with crucial mobility and seating and assistive technology services.

We are adapting our service delivery model and finding new and innovative ways to ensure we can continue to deliver our services in line with government regulations and advice. So those who have more complex needs and still need to see a specialist one on one following their telehealth consult, can do so knowing we are following stringent COVID-19 protocols.”

For clients who prefer to have us come to their home or clinic of their choice, Novitatech is able to accommodate this safely. This is also available to clients living in regional South Australia.

“Our aim is to be able to use Novitatech’s mobile service to perform seating assessments at a location that is of lowest risk to them. It’s all about tailoring our services to a client’s individual needs as best we can,” says Mark.
